Giants receiver Plaxico Burress sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, possibly self-inflicted, on Friday night, according to several Web sites, each using unnamed sources. Foxsports.com was the first to report the incident, saying that Burress had spent the night in a hospital but that the injury was not considered life-threatening. Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, who co-wrote a book with Burress this year, reported that the bullet “grazed” a leg, and that the injury might keep Burress out of action for two weeks.
